NewsVGM Group’s Q2 2026 Community Giving Focuses On Children & Accessibility

VGM Group is dedicated to Making A Difference in the communities our employee owners call home. This includes helping the children in these communities to live their fullest possible lives by supporting inclusivity and bringing smiles to their faces in every possible way. For Q2 2026, VGM Group’s Community Giving Committee was proud to support organizations focusing on children and accessibility. 

For the second quarter, we made contributions totaling $12,500. 

Make-A-Wish Iowa 

Donation amount: $5,000 

Every week, an average of five children are diagnosed with a critical illness in Iowa, reinforcing the urgency to find every eligible child and fund their life-changing wish. Make-A-Wish Iowa grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses with a vision to reach every eligible child in Iowa. Since 1987, Make-A-Wish Iowa has granted 4,900 wishes for children across the entire state. Currently, there are over 300 children in the state waiting for their wishes to be granted; 22 of those children reside in the Cedar Valley.

The Miracle League of Cedar Valley 

Donation amount: $2,500 

All-Play Ballpark is the original home to the Cedar Valley Miracle League. The inclusive Miracle League field is the crown jewel of the ballpark, with an all-weather surface that allows people of all abilities to play ball. Matt Waller, President of HOMELINK, runs the program in his hometown Parkersburg, Iowa. There are upcoming games on September 12 and 26, and the league is currently looking for volunteers.

ChildServe Iowa – Bubble Ball 

Donation amount: $5,000 

Bubble Ball raises money to advance the mission of ChildServe: to partner with families to help children with special healthcare needs live a great life. Since its inception, Bubble Ball has raised over $6 million to benefit new programs, equipment, and services for children with special healthcare needs and their families. Funds raised each year support nearly 6,000 children across Iowa who receive care within ChildServe’s four program areas: Autism & Behavioral Health, Complex Medical Care, Pediatric Rehabilitation and Community Services.
