VGM Group was recently named Proactive AI Champion at the Cognigy.AI 2026 Awards. These awards recognize companies and teams that utilize groundbreaking and innovative AI technology.  

This award-winning tool, Proactive AI, has been a game changer in HOMELINK, a VGM Group business unit focused on patient care coordination. Proactive AI automates follow-up communications by seamlessly integrating into HOMELINK’s own patient order systems, simplifying business processes that were previously time-consuming. 

“I’m incredibly proud of the work this team, and all of VGM, has done for the continued innovation of AI and for its responsible incorporation in our day-to-day,” said VGM Group Chief Information Officer Jeremy Kauten. “As AI becomes more prominent, it’s important that we understand it, learn it, and use it as an effective tool for simplifying or improving business processes. And that’s possible due to the AI experts we have at VGM.” 

The team behind the Proactive AI system was also previously recognized with a 2024 Cheer Each Other On Award at VGM Group’s annual VGM Awards. These awards honor the top performers and projects across the company. And competition, especially among AI- and tech-centric projects, has been fierce.  

Over the last year, VGM has increasingly incorporated AI into its day-to-day operations to improve efficiency and enhance decision-making. These efforts include transcribing calls to remove manual note taking, automatically generating and staffing digital orders to streamline workflows, assessing insurance claims to better identify risk, and using cutting-edge technology to scan a patient’s face and recommend CPAP masks with 97% accuracy (just with using a phone camera!).
