We're excited to introduce our next finalist for the 2025 HME Woman Of The Year: Ginger Walls, Director of Clinical and Technical Education, with Permobil.
Driving Innovation
Ginger joined Permobil in 2015 as a Clinical Education Manager and was promoted to her current role of Director of Clinical and Technical Education in 2020. During her time with Permobil, Ginger built and shaped a team of over a dozen educators in the U.S. and Canada—making a considerable impact on how clinicians, technical service professionals, and ATPs are trained in the HME industry.
Ginger revolutionized internal and external clinical and technical education with the creation of Permobil’s first ever Learning Management System (LMS). With her LMS programs, thousands of clinicians and ATPs have been trained across North America, driving best practices that have improved patient outcomes.
Connecting The Industry
Ginger tirelessly advocates for the industry—she is Chair of the Assistive Technology/Seating & Wheeled Mobility Special Interest Group (SIG) within the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy (ANPT) of the APTA and an active CTF member. ISS, RESNA, and the PVA Summit are just a few of the major conferences in the field Ginger has presented at. She has also contributed to critical RESNA position papers and research studies.
Todd Walling, SVP of Sales, with Permobil stated that Ginger has a “superpower”—the ability to connect with everyone, whether they’re end users, clinicians, or her own team. She can intertwine her expertise in the field with genuine passion for empowering others. And she ensures that Permobil teams are equipped to provide meaningful outcomes, not just products.
“Ginger’s career is a testament to leadership, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to advancing patient care,” said Walling. “Her impact spans beyond Permobil—she is shaping the future of mobility and accessibility for countless individuals and families across the HME industry.”
