As a way of thanking HME providers for the good they do for their communities, VGM Insurance is giving awards of $1000 throughout the year to companies that provide the most compelling nominations of a local charity. In just two months, the campaign has received nominations from over 60 companies from all over the nation.
We’re pleased to announce the first winner, Jeffery Hall of Reliable Medical Supply Inc., based in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Jeffery nominated the Madison Claire Foundation.
The Madison Claire Foundation serves children and families living with disabilities by creating fully accessible “inclusive” playgrounds that reach beyond the limitations of traditional playgrounds. They will be using the $1,000 donation to help finish building a sixteen thousand square foot accessible playground so that people with and without disabilities can play and exercise together.
This state-of-the-art playground will be the only accessible playground in Minnesota that is fully ramped, allowing access to every point of the playground!
The second winner is Lori and Greg Betz of GTB Medical Service of Brunswick, Ohio. The Betzes’ nominated the HANDS Foundation.
The HANDS Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for seniors in their community through education, coordination with local organizations and involving seniors to help create an independent lifestyle and improved quality of life. The HANDS Foundation will be using the $1,000 donation towards their Senior Wish Program, where they grant wishes to seniors for things such as airline tickets, safety rails, household appliances, wheelchair ramps and household repairs.
