Earlier today, VGM received notice that Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) will sign on to H.R. 3790, bringing Iowa to 100 percent support of the bill. His support follows a meeting with Iowa providers; Ms. Wheelchair Iowa, Angie Plager; and VGM associates during last week’s AAHomecare Legislative Conference/DC Fly-In. According to King’s aide, meeting with the group last week changed the congressman’s mind and that the best argument was the number of jobs that would be lost from competitive bidding.

Other states with 100 percent support include: South Dakota, Rhode Island, Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
