Today, VGM received notice that the House Energy and Commerce Committee will be briefed on the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding program by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) staff on Tuesday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m. EST. The location of the briefing will be in room 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
The staff of both the Ways and Means and the Energy and Commerce Committees is welcome. Below is a list of committee members. If your representative is a committee member, please contact him/her and ask that a member from his/her staff attend and ask questions. Be sure that the staff member stresses the fact that CMS did NOT correct the errors incurred in Round One, in spite of the mandate in the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA).
